Career
French Funky Designer Philippe Starck is one of the most famous and prolific designers
of this century, winning a myriad of international design awards throught his extensive
career as a designer. Starck's creative genius spans from funky lighting and contemporary
furniture to world famous restaurants and contemporary apartment interiors. He considers
himself as "a Japanese architect, an American art director, a German industrial
designer, a French artistic director, an Italian furniture designer".
Philippe Starck has created contemporary furniture designs for famous Italian design
brand Kartell for over 20 years and during that time has produced an incredible
array of iconic products that adorn funky homes and contemporary venues worldwide.
Starcks best-selling furniture for Kartell include Starcks Louis Ghost Chair, Victoria
Ghost Chair, Bubble Club armchair, Bubble Club sofa, EroS swivel armchair, Hi-Cut
